Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Dinner fundraiser

The Rockport Middle School seventh-grade class will hold a dinner fundraiser Monday, Feb. 11, 4:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Jalapeños Mexican restaurant, 86 Main St., Gloucester. Ten percent of the night’s proceeds benefit field trip expenses.

Democrats caucus

Rockport Democrats will hold a caucus, followed by a regular Democratic Town Committee meeting, on Saturday, Feb. 23, 10:30 a.m., in the Brenner Room, Rockport Public Library, 17 School St. The caucus will elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Convention which will be held July 13 at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell. Delegates will adopt a new party platform for the Massachusetts Democratic Party. Any person registered as a Democrat in Rockport as of Dec. 31, 2012, is eligible to vote at the caucus and run for delegate for the convention. Call 978-546-3754 or 978-546-8355.

Pigeon Cove potluck

Pigeon Cove Circle’s monthly potluck supper will take place Thursday, Feb. 28, 6 p.m., at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 24 Broadway. Bring a favorite dish and friends. Program features Dora Kalajian Tevan speaking about her Armenian ancestors’ daily life in “Little Hessana” Mechelen, Belgium. All are welcome.

Ash Wednesday

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 24 Broadway, will hold the Ash Wednesday liturgy with the Imposition of Ashes Wednesday, Feb. 13, 12:05 p.m., and a choir service at 7 p.m.
