Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:

Hurricane force wind warning in effect from late tonight through Saturday afternoon.

Today, east winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts up to 30 knots increasing to 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 45 knots in the afternoon. Seas 7 to 10 feet. Patchy fog. Snow. Visibility 1 nautical mile or less.

Tonight, northeast winds 40 to 50 knots with gusts up to 65 knots. Seas 18 to 23 feet. Patchy fog and freezing fog. Snow. Visibility 1 nautical mile or less.

Saturday, north winds 40 to 50 knots with gusts up to 65 knots. Seas 24 to 29 feet. Snow. Visibility 1 nautical mile or less.

Saturday night, north winds 30 to 40 knots with gusts up to 50 knots becoming northwest 25 to 30 knots with gusts up to 40 knots after midnight. Seas 13 to 18 feet. Chance of light freezing spray and snow. Visibility 1 nautical miles or less.

Sunday, northwest winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts up to 35 knots diminishing to 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots in the afternoon. Seas 7 to 10 feet. Chance of light freezing spray.

Sunday night, northwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west around 10 knots after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 feet.

Monday, southwest winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 30 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Chance of rain. Visibility 1 to 3 nautical miles.

Monday night, southwest winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 30 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Chance of rain. Visibility 1 to 3 nautical miles.

Tuesday, west winds around 15 knots with gusts up to 25 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet.

Tuesday night, west 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 25 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet.
