Essex Fire Company’s 22nd annual spaghetti supper, 4 to 7 p.m., Essex Fire Station, 24 Martin St. All-you-can-eat salad, spaghetti, meatballs and sauce, drinks and dessert. Donations at door. Proceeds benefit Equipment Fund. All welcome.

St. John the Baptist Church annual Christmas fair, 9 a.m. till after the 4 p.m. Mass. Coffee, doughnuts, chili and chowder lunch, theme baskets, baked goods, Christmas decorations, wreaths, crafts, Advent calendars, candles, white elephants, cash and gift raffles,

Brush drop off day to assist residents with Hurricane Sandy clean up, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., DPW Transfer Station. Limbs up to eight inches in diameter accepted. Essex residents only.

Young adults’ Game Night for teens grades 7 to 12, 6 to 8 p.m. at the T.O.H.P. Burnham Library, 30 St. Martin St. Essex, with snacks, door prize and lots of board games!

Christmas concert, “The Reason for the Season,” 7 to 9 p.m., Emmanuel Community Church, 180 Western Ave. Music, comedy, food and fun for all ages. Doors open at 6 p.m. Donations appreciated.Nutcracker Party
