The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 8,700 pounds of fish Thursday.
Top species landed and average prices were:
Market cod: 5,000 pounds ($2.26)
Small yellowtail: 1,000 pounds (94 cents)
Large cod: 600 pounds ($4.25)
Scrod cod: 500 pounds ($2.20)
Scaler cod: 500 pounds ($2.02)
Other landings
The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 65,700 pounds of fish and 4,200 pounds of scallops Wednesday.
The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 12,300 pounds of fish Wednesday.
No landings were reported Thursday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
