Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 8,300 pounds of fish Wednesday and 7,900 pounds Thursday.

Top species landed Thursday and average prices were:

Market cod: 3,500 pounds ($1.60)

Small yellowtail: 1,100 pounds ($1.08)

Scaler cod: 1,000 pounds ($1.29)

Large yellowtail: 800 pounds ($1.20)

Large cod: 600 pounds ($2.55)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 49,400 pounds of fish and 113,700 pounds of scallops Tuesday and handled 52,800 pounds of fish and 103,000 pounds of scallops Wednesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 25,300 pounds of fish Tuesday and 15,800 pounds on Wednesday.

No landings were reported Wednesday and Thursday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
