Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Spiran Lodge anniversary

Spiran Lodge 98 will celebrate its 107th anniversary with a buffet dinner, for members and guests, on Friday, April 5, 6:30 p.m., at the hall. To RSVP, call Judi Harris at 978-546-7146 ASAP.

Financial planning seminar

The First Congregational Church, 12 School St., will offer a financial planning seminar Saturday, April 13, noon, at Fellowship Hall. The seminar will answer these questions: Why should I have a will? What is included in a will? What is a trust? Should I have a Trust? Who needs life insurance? How much insurance is enough? Where can I find answers to my financial questions? When should seniors sell their house? For more information, call 978-546-3221.

DECA fundraiser

Rockport High School DECA students will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser Saturday, April 6, 7:30 to 10 a.m., at The Fish Shack. Menu includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, juice and coffee. Tickets are $8 each.

Recreation programs

The Rockport Recreation Department will offer these programs

Sunset Pilates Yoga, begins Thursday, April 4, 6 to 7 p.m., Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. Cost is $60 for 12 classes, $8/drop-in fee.

Book reading

Three local authors, Rev. Susan Moran, Joe Rukeyser and Jonathan Strong, will share brief selections from their works Sunday, April 14, 4 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Rockport, 4 Cleaves St.
