DPW celebrates Earth Day by providing tree saplings to Essex residents, 9 a.m, to 3 p.m., Transfer Station Common Lilac and Red Oak; supplies limited and dispensed on a first come basis. Call 978-768-6262.

Tuesday, April 24

Building Committee public forum, 7:30 p.m. Essex Senior Center; status of planning for future town building replacements and renovations, and other town related building matters. All welcome.

Equine Expo and Sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Arena Building, Topsfield Fairgrounds. One-stop shopping for the horse and rider, demonstrations, silent auction, food vendor, handicap accessible, plenty of parking, sales spaces available, hosted by the Essex County Trail Association. Event raises money to maintain trails in Essex, Hamilton, Wenham, Topsfield, Ipswich and West Newbury. Admission $5; children 10 and younger, free.
