Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Press releases may be sent to Goings on, Gloucester Daily Times, 36 Whittemore St., Gloucester, MA 01930, sent via email to gdt@gloucestertimes.com or faxed to 978-282-4397. Please include a contact person’s name and telephone number and send at least two weeks prior to the event. The Times will do its best to run the announcement at least once prior to the event. Old Sloop Coffeehouse

Old Sloop Coffeehouse will present a performance by Allen Estes and Claudia Nygaard on Saturday, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m., at the First Congregational Church of Rockport, 12 School St. For advance tickets ($10), visit www.oldsloopcoffeehouse.org, Gloucester Music, or Toad Hall Bookstore in Rockport. Tickets, at the door, are $12 for adults, $7 for those 65 and older, $5 for those younger than 18, $24 per family.

Dinner fundraiser

The Rockport High School Class of 2017 will host a dinner fundraiser Wednesday, Oct. 30, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., in the High School cafeteria. Menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, desserts, coffee and drinks. Tickets are $8 and may be purchased from a class member, by calling 978-546-1234 or emailing slarsen@rpk12.org. Limited tickets at the door.

Spiran Hall Harvest

Spiran Hall, corner of Broadway and School Street, will hold its Fall Harvest on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Features Scandinavian gifts, Seaview Farms produce, Wally’s Bistro, baked goods, crafts, doughnuts, cider and coffee. Tables rentals are $25; call Clair Whitten at 978-546-7949.

Halloween party

The PACE Halloween party, free tours and lunch is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. PACE, located on Emerson Avenue in Gloucester, will provide everything, including musical entertainment. Space is limited. RSVP ASAP at 978-546-2573. A bus will pick up and drop off at the Rockport Council on Aging.
