Gloucester author JoeAnn Hart speaks, 7 p.m., Brenner Room, Rockport Library, at annual meeting of the Friends of the Rockport Library. Hart’s new novel, FLOAT —an environmental exploration of art, industry, plastics in the ocean and life in a hardscrabble seaside town in Maine, was a finalist for the Dana Award in the Novel.
