Free boulevard concert

The Gloucester Fund and gimmesound.com will present a free concert on Gloucester Harbor July 3 from 5 to 11 p.m. with Carlos Menezes Jr.’s Cape Ann Big Big joining the Runaround for its 6th Annual Runaround Fireworks Extravaganza! Vocalists include Rene Dupuis (Bandit Kings, Renee & Joe), Nathan Seavey, Steve Russo (The Runaround, Mile 21), Mari Martin (Area 51, Kenny Loggins), and Carolyn Seavey. Hitting the stage at 7 p.m., the band will play Glenn Miller to Van Halen on Ringo Tarr’s mobile stage near the cut bridge, a perfect spot for watching the parade and fireworks and dancing under the stars and laser light show.

This morning, Wednesday, June 26, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce’s newly formed Ambassador Committee invites you to a complimentary mid-morning break at Mamie’s Kitchen, 65 Pleasant St., Gloucester. Stop by and grab a cup of coffee in an open house-style event stay for 30 minutes, an hour or more! Board members, committee chairs and your Chamber Team will be on hand to welcome you and answer any questions you may have. Jump start your morning while maximizing the value of your membership. Stories & Songs

Storytellers Lucille LePage and Alicia Quintano present an hour of free stories, songs, local history and on-your-feet fun, at 10 a.m. each Tuesday, July 9 through August 6, at Stage Fort Park, near the Antonio Gentile Bandstand in good weather or on the porch of the Welcoming Center on rainy days. Free summer meals

The Open Door Food Pantry will serve free Summer Meals to children 18 and under, fro, June 24 through August 30 at the following open sites: The Open Door Riverdale Willowood Veterans School (Start June 25). All lunches are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 to 1 p.m. No service on July 4. A full list of all sites including Teen Supper sites may be found at foodpantry.org. Summer Food Service Programs are federally funded through the USDA and sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Education; meals are free to children 18 and under without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, or handicap. No registration or sign-up is necessary.

Cape Ann Thrift Shop

Trinity Congregational Church’s Cape Ann Thrift Shop is open for bargain hunting from Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon. The shop is located on Middle Street, Gloucester.

Class of ‘46 reunion

A reunion lunch will be held on July 20, at 12:30 p.m. at the Gloucester House Restaurant for the GHS class of 1946.
