Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 5,700 pounds of fish and 200 pounds of scallops Tuesday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

:Large monkfish, head on: 1,200 pounds ($1.19)

Striped bass: 1,000 pounds ($4.91)

Large hake: 600 pounds ($2.50)

Large pollock: 300 pounds ($2.15)

Blackbacks, Georges, 2 pounds or more: 300 pounds ($2.78)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 6,700 pounds of fish and 90,300 pounds of scallops Tuesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 29,300 pounds of fish Tuesday.

No landings were reported Wednesday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
