Saturday, March 30

Bake sale fundraiser, sponsored by Rockport High School DECA students, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Rockport Transfer Station. Donations accepted; proceeds support RHS DECA students who earned a spot to compete in the national event in California next month.

Annual community egg hunt for Rockport children, sponsored by Rockport Division of Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, 2 p.m., Rockport Elementary School playground area, 24 Jerden’s Lane. To provide financial support, to make a contribution of wrapped candy or a small prize, to volunteer, or for more information, call Missy Anzivino at 978-546-3300 or the chamber at 978-283-1601.

Monday, April 1

Council on Aging bingo, 1 to 3:30 p.m., Rockport Senior Center. 978-546-2573.

Friends of Rockport Athletics, 6:30 p.m., Rockport High School library. All welcome. 978-270-7463.

Garden Club, Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. Members and guests invited to a social hour at noon, followed by Maureen Bovet’s presentation titled “New York Garden Spaces” at 1:15 p.m.

Tuesday, April 2

Preschool story hour, 10 to 10:45 a.m., Rockport Public Library.

Music performance, presented by Rockport Elementary band, chorus and orchestra, 7 p.m., John Lane Auditorium.

Thursday, April 4

“Power of the Purse” event, sponsored by Women’s Fund of Essex County, 6:30 to 9 p.m., Brookwood School, Manchester. Hors d’oeuvres and wine, and raffle featuring chances to win distinctive purses and bags donated by renowned designers and retailers. All proceeds fund special projects and annual grant awards made by The Women’s Fund throughout Essex County. $35 in advance, $40 at door. www.thewomensfundec.org.

Friday, April 5

Sorellanza “Journey with Friends” concert, 7:30 p.m., North Shore UU Church, 323 Locust St., Danvers. $20, $15 for students/seniors.

Saturday, April 6

Pancake breakfast fundraiser, sponsored by Rockport High School DECA students, 7:30 to 10 a.m., The Fish Shack. pancakes, bacon, sausage, juice , coffee. $8.

Old Sloop Coffeehouse performance by Bob Franke, 7:30 p.m., at First Congregational Church, 12 School St. John Schindler opens. Advance tickets are $10; visit www.oldsloopcoffeehouse.org, Gloucester Music or Toad Hall Bookstore in Rockport. Tickets at door are $12 for adults, $7 for those 65 and older, $5 for those younger than 18, $24 per family.
