Worcester Polytechnic Institute recently announced that Sean Halloran, a first-year student majoring in interactive media and game development, has been named a Charles O. Thompson Scholar for the 2012-13 academic year. Named in honor of the first president of WPI, this honor recognizes outstanding performance by first-year students. To be eligible for membership, students must receive all As and Bs (with a minimum of six As) in their academic subjects during their first three terms at WPI.

Nicholas Gillespie has been named to the honor roll at North Shore Technical High School in Middleton.

Maximilian Wooding has been named to 2012 fall semester dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
