Marine weather for Cape Ann

Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.

Small craft advisory for hazardous seas in effect through late tonight.

Today, northwest winds around 5 knots, becoming south with gusts up to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet.

Tonight, south winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 25 knots, becoming southwest 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet.

Friday, southwest winds 10 to 15 knots, becoming south 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet.

Friday night, south winds 15 to 20 knots, diminishing to 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 feet.

Saturday, south winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Chance of showers.

Saturday night, south winds 15 to 20 knots, becoming southwest 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Gusts up to 25 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Chance of showers.

Sunday, north winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 25 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Rain likely.

Sunday night, northeast winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 30 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet. Showers likely.

Monday, east winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts up to 35 knots. Seas 8 to 11 feet. Showers likely.

Monday night, southeast winds 25 to 30 knots with gusts up to 35 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet. Showers likely. Visibility 1 to 3 nautical miles.
