Old Garden Beach Association pancake breakfast, 8 a.m., at the home of Stu Mellen, 38 Atlantic Ave. All neighbors, friends, members and nonmembers welcome.

Sandy Bay Historical Society’s free annual open house, 2 to 4 p.m., Rockport’s Old Castle (postponed from July 6). Join us on Castle Lane, at Granite and Curtis streets, Pigeon Cove. Learn the history of this 1715 home “castle.” Refreshments served.

Old Sloop Fair, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., First Congregational Church, 12 School St. Rummage sale offers gently-used women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, bed linens, luggage, handbags and more.

S.S. Crocker Memorial Race, held off the coast of Manchester. Race open to all sailboats. Fun-filled family event. Awards given for first, second and third in each class. Wood and Fiberglass boats welcome. Sponsored by Manchester Yacht Club and Manchester Harbor Boat Club. www.sscrockerrace.com.
