Thank You Notes

RHS Quiz Bowl Team

The Rockport High School Quiz Bowl Team would like to thank all who have generously supported our fundraising efforts to raise money over the past month to travel to Atlanta for the 2013 High School National Academic Quiz Championship on May 24.

We are grateful to Mr. Silver and Outback Steakhouse for generously donating the food for our very successful Outback dinner fundraiser on May 1, and to the RHS cafeteria staff, who graciously allowed us to use the cafeteria for the dinner.

Our Equal Exchange fundraiser has been met with huge success over the course of many weekends at the Transfer Station and the Town Meeting. We’d like to thank Mr. Mel George, Mr. Parisi and the men at the DPW for welcoming us at the Transfer Station and allowing us to sell Equal Exchange Products and run our bottle drive.

Thank you to Mr. Liebow, Mr. Conrad, Mr. Visnick, Mrs. Keating, Ms. Cooney and Mr. Dineen for supporting us in our fundraising efforts — and to every person who bought tickets to our dinner, bags of coffee, boxes of tea, candy, donated bottles for our bottle drive or otherwise generously donated to our team. You all helped us reach our goal!

Congratulations to the Gloucester High School Class of 2013, which includes my daughter, Zoe Paddock. I know I am in good company with other proud parents of graduates this month, in reflecting on the positive experience and excellent education my child received in Gloucester Public Schools. I’d like to thank some of Gloucester’s many dedicated and gifted educators.
