School open house

Annisquam Kindergarten and Nursery School, 1123 Washington St., will hold an open house May 13, 14 and 15, from 9 a.m. to noon. See the facility, visit classrooms and meet the staff. Enrollment for children, ages 2.9 to 5, is now open. Call 978-283-2814.

Symphony concert

Cape Ann Symphony welcomes rising young star violinist Tessa Lark for A Most Mozartian Mother’s Day concert on Saturday, May 10, 8 p.m., in the Manchester Essex High School auditorium, 36 Lincoln St., Manchester. Features Lark playing “Violin Concerto No. 5” in A Major and the orchestra playing “Overture to the Marriage of Figaro” and Mozart’s final symphony, “Jupiter.” Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors, $20 for those ages 19-24, free for those ages 18 and under. Rotary Club fundraiser

The Rotary Club will host “A Night at the Races” fundraiser Friday, May 16, at Cruiseport Gloucester, 6 Rowe’s Wharf. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. All proceeds support renovations to the Antonio Gentile Bandstand at Stage Fort Park. Features hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and raffles. Tickets are $20 per person; stop by BankGloucester or Rockport National Bank, or contact any Gloucester Rotarian.

GHS Class of 1947

The Gloucester High School Class of 1947 will hold its 67th reunion at the Gloucester House restaurant on Monday, May 19, at 1 p.m. Everyone who started with the class is welcome to attend. St. Ann High School’s Class of 1947 is also welcome. For reservations, call Virginia McKinnon at 978-283-3968.

Legion meeting

The Capt. Lester S. Wass, Post 3, of the American Legion, will hold a special membership meeting Sunday, May 18, at 6 p.m. A meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. Nominations of officers will take place.
