Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. RAA ornament sale

Rockport Art Association’s 18th annual holiday ornament fundraising sale starts Friday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. featuring a large selection of one of a kind ornaments, hand painted by RAA Artist Members. The RAA is located at 12 Main Street, Rockport. For more inforamiton, visit:, or call 978-546-6604

Reiki evening

Pigeon Cove Circle’s Nov. 29, 6 p.m. meeting features a free cover-dish supper, and a special program by guest speaker Karen Pischke BSN, RN, CCRN Alumnus, Certified Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master Teacher, Tobacco Treatment Specialist” “Dreamtime Wellness: Promoting Optimal Wellness for Body, Mind & Spirit.” Currently researching Reiki Research at the North Shore Medical Center and coordinating a Reiki Pilot at Essex Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beverly, Karen will deomstrate how Reiki can reduce stress, pain, and promote a more positive, healthy, happy lifestyle. Those attending are welcome to bring an item for the buffet dinner.

Fireworks meeting

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, there will be a meeting from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Rockport Police Department to discuss plans for a fireworks display off Granite Pier next August 2013. Please join us to brainstorm ideas for our fundraising. For more information, call Tim & Susan Collins 546-9566
