Annual Men’s Night, downtown stores open late. With every item purchased get a free entry to win $1,500 shopping spree. Refreshments and special offers.

Stuff a Bus fundraiser, “attention men’s night shoppers!” — Bring a new toy to the Gloucester school bus parked in front of Sovereign Bank, Main Street, 6 to 9 p.m., and help make the holidays joyful for a child in need. All proceeds distributed through the YMCA. Sponsored by Gloucester Public School’s Transportation Department.

Book reading, 7 p.m., Temple Ahavat Achim, 86 Middle St. Anita Diamant reads from “Day After Night.” Free.

Friday, Dec. 14

Holy Family Parish bingo, 6:30 p.m., Monsignor Sullivan Hall, St. Ann Church, Gloucester. Anyone 18 and older invited. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Proceeds support school and parish programs. 978-281-4820.

Saturday, Dec. 15

Stuff a Bus fundraiser, bring a new toy to the Gloucester school bus parked by the Walgreen’s plaza, noon to 4 p.m., and help make the holidays joyful for a child in need. All proceeds distributed through the YMCA to families in need. Sponsored by Gloucester Public School’s Transportation Department.

Candlelight Solstice Stroll at Ravenswood Park, 4 to 6 p.m. Followed by warm fire, S’mores and hot chocolate. Bring nonperishable item for The Open Door Food Pantry. Sunday, Dec. 16

Santa Claus Breakfast, 8 to 11 a.m., Gloucester Fraternity Club, 27 Webster St. Pancakes, sausages, Santa, friends, fun, Photo ops! All welcome; sponsored by the Gloucester Fraternity Club. Donations accepted.
