Foxwoods away-day for Rockport seniors, bus departs Rockport Depot at 7:30 a.m., returns about 7:30 p.m. $25 fee includes motor coach, free buffet and $15 Keno.

Devil’s Island, a movie filmed on Thacher Island, 7:30 p.m., Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. $5 suggested donation to be shared by Thacher Island Association and Gloucester High School’s film club. The movie, an homage to classic thrillers, was directed by GHS history teacher Shaun Goulart. Trailer available by typing “UTUBE Shaun Goulart Devil’s Island” into search engine.

Saturday, Oct. 13

Rockport HarvestFest, all day celebrations of coastal New England autumn fare, fun, music and art. With a scarecrow contest, scarecrow stroll, scarecrow parade, pumpkin-painting, guitar-making, local foods, seafoods and all day cooking demos. www.rockportartfestivals.com.

Old Sloop Coffeehouse presents Drew Nelson, 7:30 p.m., Red House recording artist and multi-instrumentalist, with Tom “Satch” Kerans opening.
