VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The Council on Aging needs volunteers to drive seniors to and from medical appointments. Mileage reimbursement is offered. Volunteers are also needed for the Friendly Visitors program. Volunteers visit homebound elders for one to two hours per week with the goal of providing a supportive friendship and, in some cases, light grocery shopping. Training and support are provided. :PARENT MENTORS SOUGHT: Pathways’ Cape Ann Families is seeking men and women to volunteer as parent mentors. The Cape Ann Families Parent Mentor Program has been running for 20 years, serving parents of the Cape Ann community who are experiencing stress or isolation. The program is looking for volunteers to participate in its five-week spring parent mentor training, after which each volunteer will be matched with a parent, beginning a year-long mentorship/friendship.
