Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 18,300 pounds of fish Thursday and 6,000 pounds Friday.

Top species landed Friday and average prices were:

Market cod: 2,200 pounds ($2.76)

Large pollock: 600 pounds ($1.46)

Scaler cod: 500 pounds ($2.46)

Large hake: 400 pounds ($1.37)

Large monktail: 300 pounds ($4.13)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 7,500 pounds of fish and 38,600 pounds of scallops Wednesday and 51,300 pounds of fish and 76,800 pounds of scallops Thursday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction reported no landings Wednesday and handled 9,900 pounds of fish Thursday.

No landings were reported Thursday or Friday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
