Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Rides to the polls

The Rockport Republican Town Committee is offering free rides to vote on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6. Call Mike Boucher at 978-500-0715 for a ride.

Forever Fit

Rockport Recreation is offering a new fitness class for seniors. Kick off to a fit new you this Friday. Nov. 9, and Monday, Nov. 12 from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. at the Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. Admission is $50 for 18 classes, or $5 per class drop in fee. Pilates Yoga

Rockport Recreation’s will hold an evening Pilates Yoga class on Monday, Nov. 12, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. at the Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway with an emphasis on strength training. Admission is a $5 drop in fee. For more information, call Caitlin Chandler at 978-546-1309

Thanksgiving lunch

The Rockport Senior Center is hosting a Thanksgiving lunch on Nov. 15. Come, enjoy roast turkey, whipped potatoes, gravy, stuffing, butternut squash, peas, cranberry sauce, apple pie and biscuit, all for $2. For reservations, call 978-546-5027

Tax savings

Seniors should take full financial advantage of this chance to learn how to save on Real Estate Taxes Thursday, Nov. 15, at 12:30 p.m., with Diane Lashua from the Town Assessor’s Office hosting an informational forum at the Rockport Senior Center, 58 Broadway. Everyone is welcome to attend.
