Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. CAAA golf tournament

The third annual Christopher Cutler Rich Golf Tournament to benefit Cape Ann Animal Aid will take place Monday, Sept. 23, at Bass Rocks Golf Club, Gloucester. Features a day of golf, followed by a celebration dinner with awards, prizes and a live auction. ‘Cabaret’

Theatre in the Pines will present the musical theater presentation of “Cabaret,” directed by Nan Webber, Sept. 13 and 14, 7:30 p.m., and Sept. 15, 3 p.m., at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, 37 Main St. For tickets, stop by Toad Hall Book Store, 47 Main St., Rockport; or The Bookstore, 61 Main St., Gloucester.

Free lecture

The Rockport Art Association, 12 Main St., will offer a free community service lecture Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. Dr. David Vastola will discuss arthritis, cancer and diabetes. Call 978-546-6604 or visit www.rockportartassn.org.

My Life, My Health

This free, six session program teaches tips and techniques for effective self-management of chronic conditions, such as heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, depression, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema and other physical and mental conditions. Each session focuses on a different aspect of self-care techniques. Meets Thursdays, Sept. 5 to Oct. 10, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Family members are welcome. Sponsored by SeniorCare.
