Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 25,900 pounds of fish last Friday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

:Medium pollock: 6,200 pounds ($1.07)

Large hake: 2,800 pounds ($1.55)

Medium and small pollock: 2,700 pounds (94 cents)

Large monktail: 1,700 pounds ($4.03)

Snapper haddock: 1,500 pounds (98 cents)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 43,200 pounds of fish and 133,700 pounds of scallops Wednesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 28,400 pounds of fish and 200 pounds of scallops Wednesday.

No landings were reported Thursday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
