Summer stories at Manchester Public Library, 10:30 a.m. Meet on front lawn (indoors, if rainy), and pack a snack and a blanket.

Saturday, Aug. 4

Light up the night, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop by the Manchester Public Library lawn during Festival by the Sea and tab members will help you decorate a wooden lighthouse that glows in the dark.

Festival by the Sea, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Concert at 6 p.m. in Mosconomo Park with Chelsea Berry headlining.

Thursday, Aug. 16

Book Talk with local author Gary Braver, 6:30 p.m., Manchester Public Library. An overview on thrillers and the themes in suspense fiction from best-selling author of “Tunnel Vision”, “Skin Deep”, and “Flashback.”
