America’s Boating eight-week safety course begins, 7 to 9 p.m., Sandy Bay Yacht Club. Basic navigational rules contained in Federal recreational boating regulations. Rockport High School Quiz Team benefit dinner, 5 to 6:30 p.m., RHS cafeteria. Chicken and ribs dinner (courtesy of Outback Steakhouse).
