Open Door’s annual Empty Bowl Dinner, 4 to 8 p.m., Cruiseport Gloucester. Extra parking at Good Harbor Beach, with regular trolley service to and from event. $15, $10 for children under 10. Tickets at door. Simple soup, bread and cookie. Guests choose and keep soup bowl handcrafted for event. 978-283-6776. www.foodpantry.org.
