The child in us is full of wonder

As we make our way in the world ...

Sometimes we lose that innocence

When life’s problems begin to unfurl.

Thank God for our imagination

Which keeps the child alive ...

If only we can remember

That this gift is how we survive.

So let us ponder on our journey

When the facts get in the way ...

And keep that childhood innocence

From becoming reality’s prey.
