The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi has announced that Devon Tadler was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Tadler is pursuing a degree in education at Elon University in Baton Rouge, La.

Rockport Middle School has named its students of the month for April. They are sixth-grader Jace Mason, seventh-grader Cienna Militello and eighth-grader Kaitlin Favaloro.

Jace was recognized for being ever helpful, kind and nice to classmates while always wanting to learn.

Cienna was recognized for her hard work, her active learning skills, respectfulness of others, and the abundant number of activities that she is involved in at school.

Kaitlin was recognized for her willingness to help others and her ever-friendly demeanor. Kaitlin is also involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities.
