Gloucester Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’

Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe will present William Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labour’s Lost,” directed by Ray Jenness and featuring a multi-generational cast from Cape Ann to Cambridge, on May 11, 17 and 18, 8 p.m.; May 12 and 19, 3 p.m., at the Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway, Rockport. Mother’s Day benefit

Haiti Projects Inc. will host a Mother’s Day tea benefit Saturday, May 11, 3 to 6 p.m., at 31 Leonard St. Event supports the needlework of the women of Fond des Blanc, and the new summer reading program for children, ages 5 to 8. Call 978-283-0892.

Interfaith Awards

The Cape Ann Interfaith Commission will hold a reception and awards ceremony for youth volunteers on Monday, May 20, 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the Gloucester High School lecture hall.

Friends of Seacoast

Friends of Seacoast will meet Tuesday, May 14, 6 to 7 p.m., at Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 298 Washington St. All are welcome.

Foxwoods trip

Holy Family Parish will offer a trip to Foxwoods in Connecticut on Wednesday, May 22. A motor coach will leave from the St. Anthony’s Chapel parking lot at 6 a.m. and return around 7:30 p.m. Cost is $30 per person and includes transportation, the Festival Buffet (an $18 value) and a $10 Keno voucher.
