St. John’s Thrift Shop is now open for the summer season every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with household goods, furniture, art, cookware, home décor, adult and children’s books, clothing, shoes, and accessories, along with the occasional antiques and oddities. Proceeds support outreach programs for the Cape Ann Community. Free parking in the church lot at 33 Washington Street. The entrance is down three steps from street level.

Addison Gilbert and Beverly hospitals are offering free screenings to children of all ages through the Speech-Language Department at Beverly Hospital, 85 Herrick Street, Beverly, and Addison Gilbert Hospital, 298 Washington St., Gloucester. Look good, feel better
Addison Gilbert Hospital will host The American Cancer Society’s ‘Look God, Feel Better’ program for women undergoing cancer treatment on June 19, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Addison Gilbert Hospital, 298 Washington Street, Gloucester. Volunteer cosmetologists share make-up, hair, and skin care enhancing techniques to help with appearance-related effects of chemotherapy and radiation.
