In celebration of national Adopt-A-Cat Month, Cape Ann Animal Aid will offer month-long cat adoption specials and sales on all cat merchandise. Adult cats are available for $25 off the adoption fee, and adoption fees will be waived for special needs cats. The Chill Zone, a community living room where youth (ages 12-18) can connect with friends, do homework and get a nutritious meal, is open Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 to 9 p.m., at The Hive, 11 Pleasant St., during the summer.
Summer meals for kids
The Open Door Food Pantry will serve free summer meals, to children 18 and under, from now until Aug. 30, at these locations: The Open Door, Riverdale, Willowood and Veterans School.
