The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 34,000 pounds of fish Wednesday.
Top species landed and average prices were:
:Snapper haddock: 4,900 pounds ($1.01)
Scrod haddock: 3,200 pounds ($1.37)
Medium pollock: 2,900 pounds ($1.31)
Large monktail: 2,800 pounds ($3.40)
Large monkfish, head on: 2,700 pounds ($1.37)
The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 44,900 pounds of fish and 36,600 pounds of scallops Wednesday.
The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 21,900 pounds of fish Wednesday.
No landings were reported Thursday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
