AGH cancer drive
Addison Gilbert’s American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program is in great need of volunteers to drive local cancer patients to and from treatments. Many patients find transportation to and from these critical treatments a challenge; volunteers’ schedules are flexible, treatment are on weekdays, primarily during business hours. A volunteer willing to drive even once a year can make a life-saving difference! AGH will hold a volunteer information and training session at AGH, 298 Washington St., on Thursday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. 12:00 p.m., in the Longan Room. On Wednesday, Dec. 19, the Traveling Chef will bring a Grilled Panini Bar to the Rose Baker Senior Center with all the makings for a great sandwich. Reservations are required by Monday, Dec. 17.
The Gloucester Council on Aging will host instructors and their students studying foreign languages at Gloucester High School for a special concert featuring holiday music sung in German and Italian, at the Rose Baker Senior Center, on Monday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. Anne Paganetti will lead her students through the performance.
