Two Captains

The fishing captain goes to sea

So his family won’t be hungry.

The Navy captain goes to sea

For his family and his country.

The Navy captain has sworn an obligation.

The fishing captain has made fishing his occupation.

The fishing captain goes to sea

To seek fish in every direction.

The other goes to sea

To seek and destroy for our protection.

Now you may ask yourself —

What can these two captains possibly have in common?

One carries a net — One carries a gun.

I will answer that question for you.

You see — These two captains are father and son.

Capt. James F. Parisi
