Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 6,800 pounds of fish Wednesday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

Large hake: 1,500 pounds ($1.75)

Market cod: 1,200 pounds ($3.24)

Large pollock: 1,000 pounds ($1.55)

Scaler cod: 600 pounds ($2.11)

Whole head on monkfish: 500 pounds ($2.04)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 24,100 pounds of fish and 26,500 pounds of scallops Tuesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 25,200 pounds of fish Tuesday.

No landings were reported Wednesday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
