2013 Gloucester High School Graduation Awards

This is a partial list of awards given to members of the Gloucester High School Class of 2013. More of the list will be published as space becomes available.

Awards and Scholarships

The Margaret F. Parsons Scholarship

Awarded to a graduating senior of Gloucester High School who plans to major in the medical sciences, has demonstrated good character, dependability and self help skills and has been accepted at an accredited college, university or technical school.

$750 — Hannah Amelia Sumner

Salvatore J. Piscitello Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a graduate of Gloucester High School who has shown high qualities of leadership, scholarship and character, and who has been accepted to a school of higher education. Preference is given to a student entering the technical field.

$200 — Samantha Nicole Oliver

Robert H. Porter Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a Gloucester High School graduate who has been accepted at an accredited college, university or technical school and who has experience caddying or working around the game of golf in some capacity.

$650 each — Christine Elizabeth Anderson, Kimberly Shea Foster, Lorenzo Luis Gonzales, Michael Robert Muniz and Zachary Miles Smith

Robert E. Puff Music Scholarship

Awarded to a graduating Gloucester High School senior who has been accepted at an institute of higher learning and who has demonstrated superior ability on a “traditional” marching band, concert band, or orchestral instrument and has displayed outstanding character and citizenship.

$500 — Hannah Marilyn Sweet

Ashley Richard Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a Gloucester High School senior who has been accepted at an accredited school of continued learning and who has participated in the Junior ROTC program and demonstrated leadership, citizenship and the perseverance to strive to make things better.

$500 — Hannah Ellis Grimes

Riverdale Rockets Youth Sports Organization Scholarship

Awarded to graduates of the Rockets Youth Sports Program who intend to further their education.

$300 each — Brianna Rose Saputo, Ryan Smith and Jason Alexander Vizena

$200 each — Abigail Elizabeth Avila, Allie Biondo and Andrew Mark Gossom

$100 each — George Black, Sophia Elizabeth Black, Heather M. Boudrow, Mark Kenneth Horgan, Erin Elisabeth Jermyn, Amanda Elizabeth Silva and Samantha Leigh Wayrynen
