Gloucester Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Health Insurance help

Addison Gilbert Hospital community liaison Sefatia Romeo Theken will be available at BankGloucester, 160 Main Street, Gloucester on Thursday, October 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Community Room to answer questions about accessing health insurance, Medicate part D, open enrollment, Medicare/Medicaid, GIC or group insurance. This is a free and confidential drop-in session.

Community Forum

Lahey Health System will host a community forum on Oct. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Shalin Liu Performance Center, 37 Main St., Rockport, to discussthe future state of healthcare, payment reform and its impact on hospitals and healthcare delivery systems. Presenters will include Denis Conroy, Vice President of System Integration for Lahey Health System and Cindy Cafasso Donaldson, Vice President and Executive Director for Addison Gilbert Hospital. This presentation will be followed by a Q&A.

Grief workshop

On Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon, BankGloucester will host a free grief workshop in the Community Room at 160 Main St. Any adult who seeks a better understanding of grief and techniques for healing after loss should not miss this workshop with Anita Pandolfe Ruchman, NP, and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Psychotherapist in private practice. Offered by the Bertolon Center for Grief & Healing, a program of Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, the workshop requires advance registration is required.
