Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Press releases may be sent to Goings on, Gloucester Daily Times, 36 Whittemore St., Gloucester, MA 01930, sent via email to gdt@gloucestertimes.com or faxed to 978-282-4397. Please include a contact person’s name and telephone number and send at least two weeks prior to the event. The Times will do its best to run the announcement at least once prior to the event. Due to the volume of goings on listings received by the paper, listings are alternated once they run and the same listings are not printed every day.

Community Forum

Lahey Health System will host a Cape Ann Community Forum at Shalin Liu Performance Center, 37 Main Street, on Oct. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to discuss the future state of healthcare, payment reform and its impact on hospitals and healthcare delivery systems. Presenters include Denis Conroy, VP of System Integration for Lahey Health System and Cindy Cafasso Donaldson, VP and Exec. Director for Addison Gilbert Hospital. A Q&A session will follow; all are encouraged to attend.

Flu Clinic

The Gloucester Health Department will conduct a free flu clinic for all those six months and older. at Addison Gilbert Hospital, 298 Washington Street, Gloucester on Nov. 13 from 9 to 11 a.m. Appointments are not necessary. Guests should enter the hospital through the Fisher Lobby entrance. Please wear short sleeves.

Sunset Pilates

All levels of yoga and Pilates are welcome at Rockport Recreation Department’s class on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. Thedrop in fee is $8. For more informatin, call Caitlin Chandler at 978-546-1309

Pigeon Cove supper

Pigeon Cove Circle will hold its monthly pot-luck supper Thursday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m. For a ride, call Linda at 978-546-6698.
