Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange reported no landings Wednesday but handled 5,000 pounds of fish Thursday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

Market cod: 1,100 pounds ($3.72)

Large pollock: 1,000 pounds ($1.84)

Scaler cod: 400 pounds ($2.74)

Large hake: 300 pounds ($3.06)

Large whole head-on monk: 300 pounds ($2)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 20,800 pounds of fish and 61,300 pounds of scallops Tuesday, 36,500 pounds of fish and 4,400 pounds of scallops Wednesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction reported no landings Tuesday, but handled 14,800 pounds of fish Wednesday.

No landings were reported Wednesday or Thursday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
