Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Garden Club meeting

The Rockport Garden Club will meet Monday, Nov. 5, at the Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. A social hour begins at noon. Mary Huntoon will present “Festive Flowers” at 1:15 p.m.

Toy drive

Oasis Rockport will hold the first Toys For Tots Photos with Santa Toy Drive on Sunday, Dec. 2, noon to 5 p.m., at the Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. Photos with Santa Claus when you bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys For Tots. Call 978-290-3184, email or visit

‘Overcoming Anger’ program

A program titled “Overcoming Anger” will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at the Vajramudra Center, 154 Granite St. “Friday Nights at the Center” are informal evening programs held twice a month about the Buddhist perspective on selected life topics, led by Phil Salzman and/or Jesse Fallon. Holiday baskets

The Open Door Food Pantry needs help to provide holiday meal baskets to local families. A donation of $25 provides a turkey, potatoes, butternut squash, apples, stuffing, cranberry and more.
