America’s Boating eight-week safety course begins, 7 to 9 p.m., Sandy Bay Yacht Club. Basic navigational rules contained in Federal recreational boating regulations. Rockport High School Quiz Team benefit dinner, 5 to 6:30 p.m., RHS cafeteria. Chicken and ribs dinner (courtesy of Outback Steakhouse). Proceeds benefit team’s trip to Atlanta for the National Tournament of High School Quiz Teams. $12. Tickets available from team members or by emailing lhimml@gmail.com.
