Medication disposal day
Turn in unused or expired medications for safe disposal this Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the Rose Baker Senior Center. Sponsored by Healthy Gloucester Collaborative and the US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration Annual Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, the following items are acceptable: prescription and over-the-counter meds, samples, vitamins, narcotics liquid meds. Items not accepted are: Sharps, thermometers, IV bags, bloody or infectious waste, inhalers, Hydrogen Peroxide, personal care products.
Gloucester Stroke Club meets on Thursday, May 2, at 7 p.m. at Addison Gilbert Hospital, 298 Washington St. Logan Room (use Washington Street entrance). Virginia McKinnon, LSW, will lead a discussion on “Being Good to Yourself” - Coping skills and information for stroke survivors and caregivers.
