Citizenship Awards

Eleven recipients of this year’s Gloucester Citizenship Awards will be honored by the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church at a public ceremony on Sunday, May 19, starting at 4:30 p.m. Chosen by the church Social Justice Committee from nearly 50 submitted nominations, the recipients embody the spirit of Unitarian Universalism: open-hearted giving, solely for what those gifts mean, for no pay, and often, no recognition. This year’s citizens are: Dennis Acker and Rick Doucette, Roger Corbin, Newton Fink, Shannon Gallagher, Reverend Ronald Gariboldi, Paul Harling, Russell Hobbs, Sheldon (Don) Knowles, Karen Ristuben, and Diana Smith. The church is located at Middle and Center streets with handicapped access via the Church Street entrance; Dress is informal.
