The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 11500 pounds of fish Wednesday.
Top species landed and average prices were:
Large hake: 4,600 pounds ($1.22)
Market cod: 1,600 pounds ($3.92)
Large pollock: 1,500 pounds ($1.55)
Sow hake: 1,000 pounds ($1.31)
Medium and small pollock: 400 pounds ($1.25)
Other landings
The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 47,500 pounds of fish and 19,800 pounds of scallops Tuesday.
The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 24,300 pounds of fish Tuesday.
No landings were reported Wednesday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
