Gloucester Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Financial Q&As

The Gloucester COA is offering monthly sessions to address financial concerns for seniors, with free time for consultation and questions. Thomas E. Dexter, CFP®, Financial Advisor from Wells Fargo Advisors Beverly office is available Thursday, Jan. 3, for private, free 30 min. individual consultations at the Rose Baker Senior Center, by appointment, on the first Thursday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m.

Traveling Chef

On Wednesday, Jan. 23, the Traveling Chef will treat seniors to Chili in a Potato Cup with all the fixings, at the Rose Baker Senior Center at 11:30 a.m. SeniorCare Nutrition Program offers this meal; sign-up is required in the dining room by Monday, Jan. 21.

Fundraiser

The West Gloucester Church will hold a fundraiser on Monday night, Jan. 7, at Jalapeno’s, Main Street, Gloucester, to support church activities. Enjoy great Mexican food for a great cause! For more information, call Janice Lufkin Shea at 978-546-6550.

Church art

In honor of West Gloucester Church’s anniversary, Cape Ann Museum will display church artifacts in an exhibit beginning Jan. 6. During the month of January, admission is free to Cape Ann residents. For more information, call Janice Lufkin Shea at 978-546-6550.
