‘The Love letters of John and Mary Adams,’ 7:30 p.m., followed by a Winfrey’s chocolate buffet, at the First Congregational Church on 39 Main St., Essex, presented by the Essex Historical Society and Shipbuilding Museum, with Adams scholars and living history performers, Patricia Bridgman and Thomas Macy. Saturday, Feb. 9
