Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Sunset Pilates

Rockport Recreation’s next Pilates/Yoga Classes are Tuesday, Feb. 12, and Thursday. Feb. 14, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. Admission is $8/drop in fee. For more information, call Caitlin Chandler at 978-546-1309

Democratic Caucus

The caucus committee will elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Convention Sat. Feb. 23rd at 10:30 a.m. in the Brenner Room of the Rockport Public Library, 17 School St. The convention meets on July 13 in Lowell, and all Democratic voters registered in Rockport as of Dec. 31, 2012 are eligible to vote and run for delegate. Strength Training

Rockport Recreation’s Pilates strength training Yoga class meets Monday, Feb. 11, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. at Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. Admission is $5/drop in fee. Call Caitlin Chandler at 978-546-1309

Ballroom Blitz

Ballroom Blitz, a dance performance showcasing fifth-graders as well as Rockport High School dancers and cheerleaders, will take place Friday, March 8, 7 p.m., in the RHS gymnasium. In case of snow, the event will take place Sunday, March 10, at 1 p.m. Tickets available at the door: $5 for adults, $2 for students. Program is funded by the Rockport Education Foundation.

Bible study

Every Wednesday, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Rockport Baptist Church hosts a Bible study that is free to the public. The group studies various portions of scripture and seeks to make contemporary application. Visit www.FirstBaptistRockport.org or call 978-546-6121.
