Thank You Notes

Legion meals support

The Capt. Lester S. Wass American Legion, Post 3, would like to thank all those who donated food or money or shared part of their holiday to help cook, pack and deliver meals to the elderly and housebound on Thanksgiving and Christmas. We could not have provided this service to the community without the help of all those who shared their time and resources.

We delivered or served more than 300 meals on Thanksgiving and more than 200 on Christmas.

In addition to several individuals who donated to or volunteered their time, the following businesses and organizations helped as well: Cape Ann Savings Bank, Gorton’s, BankGloucester, Applied Material (Varian), Zeus Packing Inc., Roy Spittle Associates Inc., G. Everett Mahoney Inc., Miles River Sand & Gravel Inc., Sudbay Cheverolet Pontiac Cadillac Buick Inc., Law Offices of Porter and Coakley, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 3, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 3, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Post 32, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 74, JM Walsh Oil, Linsky’s Service Station Inc., Tony’s Service Station Inc., Rose’s Oil Service Inc., Veterans of Foreign Wars Doucette-Lingard Post 1624, Cape Ann Food Pantry, Gloucester Lodge of Elks No. 892, The Liquor Locker, Prince Insurance Agency, Al’s Glass, and Jimary Series LLC.

Our 2012-13 Meals Program will include Easter 2013 (more information will be published later).

Again, thanks very much for your continued support.
